BeepBoop ยท Privacy policy

Last updated 8 October 2026

BeepBoop is a drum machine and synthesiser. It collects no information about you.

What stays on your device

The beats, melodies, tracks and settings you make are stored on your device, inside the app. They are never sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.

What we collect

Nothing. BeepBoop makes no network connections. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not use your camera, photos, contacts or location. It uses the microphone only as described below.

The microphone

BeepBoop uses the microphone only while you record a sound into a pad, and only after you allow it. The sound stays on this phone. It is never sent anywhere: a beat you print carries which pad was struck, never the sound you recorded.

Sharing a beat

When you print a beat, its notes are written into a code on the receipt. Anyone you show the code to can scan it to open the beat. The code holds only the notes, tempo and sounds of that beat, nothing about you.

Purchases

If you buy the monthly plan or the lifetime unlock, Apple handles the payment. We receive no card details or personal information from Apple, only whether the purchase is active.

Children

BeepBoop collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes

If BeepBoop ever begins to collect anything, this page will say exactly what and why before that version is released.
